The African Lasers Atomics, Molecular and Optical Sciences Network (LAM Network) 9th international Workshop on Laser and Optics in Science and Technology, The Edward Bouchet Abdus-Salam Institute (EBASI) 7th international Conference on Science and Technology for Sustainable development, The National Society of Black Physicists (NSBP) meeting and the LAUNCH of African Physical Society , in collaboration with the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) ,and the Laboratory Atomes Lasers at the University Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar (UCAD) , will be organized at the UCAD in Dakar, Senegal, from 11 to 16 Januaryr 2010.

PARTICIPATION
The scientific meeting will consist of invited and contributed papers, poster sessions, exhibitions, and laboratory demonstrations open to scientists, engineers and medical professionals from all countries. Special session on the launch of African Physical will be held.The program will be conducted in English. Travel and subsistence expenses of the participants should be covered by their home institutions. Limited funds are available for participants from African and Developing Countries. Participants are encouraged to submit a one-page abstract on the topics of the workshop.
